Author and songwriter

Writing includes ‘The Morphant’, his 5-star reviewed children’s novel, published under the pen name Cornelius Fuel in Matador paperback.

Songwriting and lyrics include around 30 recorded songs.

He trained as an advertising copywriter in London at Young & Rubicam and Saatchi & Saatchi. He was Head of Copy at Lowe, and a creative director at Leo Burnett. He has won over 20 advertising awards, and was a D&AD judge 3 times.

As a proofreader, Simon has worked for Penguin/Michael Joseph on books by classic authors including Dickens, Trollope, HG Wells and Bram Stoker in the Penguin English Library series, plus contemporary authors such as Jeremy Clarkson and Jamie Oliver.

In other fields, Simon was a co-founder of ELFy, the app-based medication alerts system. He created the name and written content, and directed brand identity, graphic design and navigation.
